VAMC Martinsburg, Building 500 & 501

As the prime consultant, Henry Adams was responsible for scheduling, oversight and coordination of the entire project design. Sub-consultant services included architectural and structural work. In addition, Henry Adams provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering design services for the replacement of AC-18 a 38,000 CFM single fan, dual duct system supporting multiple floors and zones. The new unit provides separate heating and cooling units having multi-fans to better match loads, provide increased efficiencies and redundancy. The design emphasizes minimizing occupancy disruption and specifically includes analysis for temporary support requirements.

This project was completed as part of an IDIQ contract with Ernest Bland Associates.
