Henry Adams provided the MEP engineering design for the $14M, 69,000 SF renovation of the Polk Street Garage. Spaces inside the facility include shops, warehouse storage, and vehicle repair/storage.

This effort included the construction of a park maintenance facility as a functional replacement for Maryland National Capital Park & Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) Northern Area Operations & Maintenance Facility. This vehicle maintenance facility supports the Maryland Department of Transportation. Building spaces include maintenance areas, warehouse storage, indoor parking, and office space.

The project consists of the exterior and interior renovation of an existing building. The existing warehouse building was converted into a fully functional maintenance facility. Mezzanine storage areas within the shop areas were constructed to increase storage space.

The mechanical scope included VAV rooftop units, rooftop unit gas heating, detection and monitoring for various unsafe airborne elements and mechanical system support for the industrial equipment. The electrical scope included power, lighting, and fire alarm.
