Henry Adams provided specialized MEP/FP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection) design services for a renovation project at the Washington DC VA Medical Center, located at 50 Irving St NW. The renovation focused on the CT Scan Room GG110 and its associated Control Room, executed as a design/build turn-key installation.

The project's scope encompassed several critical aspects: mechanically, it included recalculating airflows for new heating and cooling demands and integrating new Building Automation System (BAS) controls with the existing air handling unit. Plumbing design covered updates to sanitary, venting, and water systems. Electrical work focused on enhancements to power and lighting systems, and the fire protection component involved designing a new sprinkler system to meet current safety standards.
