The groundbreaking of the new addition to Morven Museum and Garden, the Stockton Education Center, took place last week. The project site is a National Historic Landmark in Princeton, NJ and its historic mansion was home to a signer of the Declaration of Independence, Richard Stockton, whose name adorns the new education center.

The 2-story, 6,000 SF building will include a gift shop, classroom, offices, and more space for on-site programming that will assist in Morven’s mission of sharing the history and cultural heritage of the area. Construction for the education center is scheduled to begin in early March with an anticipated opening in Spring 2018.

Henry Adams provided the MEP engineering design. The mechanical scope includes HVAC and associated building controls. The electrical scope includes power and lighting, communications (voice/data cabling), electronic safety/security, and a fire alarm system.
