College Park City Hall is coming right along!

The new $32M, 85,000 SF, Class-A City Hall and University Office Building is focused on providing an improved “College-City” environment. The building design has a connected atrium, as well as first floor retail space, and a prominent public plaza. It includes an adjoined parking garage to meet a majority of the parking needs. The project was designed to meet LEED Silver at a minimum, and a goal of LEED Gold (pending certification).

The College Park City Hall was designed to meet the needs of its specialized public functions. This includes a building lobby with service windows and information counter, a City Council chambers with private conference room, state of the art audio-visual equipment, cable television recording studio, staff area and public seating, City Department offices, public meeting and conference rooms, as well as storage and shower facilities.

The University Office Building space will be adjoined and compatible with the rest of the City Hall. The ground floor of the building is anticipated to become retail space. There will also be a public plaza that will occupy the Baltimore Avenue frontage and will include programmable space, seating and other street furniture, landscaping, and public art.

Henry Adams provided the MEP and fire protection engineering design for the highly unique project.
