The Baltimore Design School has won another award.

The national AIA Committee on Architecture for Education (CAE) has selected the iconic school for a 2014 Design Excellence Award.

The CAE Design Awards program is AIA's internet-based marketplace of ideas. Through this forum the committee disseminates quality ideas on educational facility planning and design to clients, architects, and the public. This awards program is an opportunity to engage in critical evaluation and experimentation.

Last month, the Baltimore Design School was selected to receive a 2014 Historic Preservation Award by Baltimore Heritage. Both awards ceremonies will be held in June.

Henry Adams provided the MEP engineering design to renovate the abandoned 115,000 GSF three story Crown Cork and Seal Machine Shop into a fashion, architecture, and design School. The building design features classrooms, student galleries, studios/ labs, media center, dining hall, workout room, and courtyard performance space.
