Henry Adams Consulting Engineers is excited to announce that Josh Winemiller has been promoted to Senior Electrical Engineer. Josh, who has been with Henry Adams for 11 years, holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Architectural Engineering & Lighting. Josh also has his Lighting Certification and is currently the President of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America for the Baltimore section.

Josh discovered his love for Engineering and Architecture in high school when he took Architecture, CAD drafting, Engineering & Robotics classes. Upon entering Penn State, he quickly knew that Architectural Engineering would be the path for him.

Josh is well-versed in supporting electrical infrastructure and mechanical upgrades in academia, national parks, museums, historical structures, and multi-unit housing complexes. Josh has an affinity for lighting design and has worked on various specialized lighting projects at academic buildings, athletic fields, and walking trails.

Josh is always up for a professional challenge and a recent multi-media overhaul at the US Chamber of Commerce Hall of Flags presented just that! The 4,600-square-foot historic event space was revamped with increased audio-visual systems, a new LED stage and event lighting, upgraded audio systems, and the addition of LED screens and columns to enhance the visual experience.  The historic property had limited capability for the necessary power and data needed to support the upgrade. Josh worked collaboratively with the other consultants to design a faux paneling system along the north and south walls to conceal all the cabling required for the project.

Henry Adams celebrates Josh’s hands-on, collaborative approach. When Josh is not expertly engineering, he is snowboarding, golfing, working out, or passionately watching Penn State football.
