Mass timber projects integrate MEP systems in a variety of ways. Aside from dropping the normal systems below the framing, the systems can go through framing, in chases above and below framing, through gaps between mass timber panels, or in raised access flooring above mass timber panels.

Henry Adams Consulting Engineers has been engaged to complete corporate offices for Greenberg Gibbons Corporation at 4010 Boston Street in Baltimore. The ‘40Ten’ building is currently under construction and will incorporate the latter raised access flooring (RAF) method. The 11,800 SF tenant interior fit-out project will integrate systems beneath the flooring, making the maximum effort to preserve wood finishes. The RAF system will integrate power and communications systems with underfloor air distribution (UFAD) technology.
