Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, Building 13 AHU

Building 13 is an 185,000 GSF laboratory/office building. Floors 1 and 2 contain clean-room / laboratory areas. For this project, Henry Adams, llc inspected the over 40 laboratory exhaust system to determine what components have reached the end of its expected life and need to be replaced. Two fans required replacement, three duct systems and all rooftop ductwork was replaced. The building has eight air handling systems with two 35,000 CFM single fan dual duct air handling units serving the clean rooms, two 30,000 CFM hot deck air handling units and four 25,000 CFM cold deck air handling units. Those units were replaced during a phased occupied construction project.
