Henry Adams designed the renovations to the existing 35-year-old medium voltage switchgear, spot network relays, and low-voltage switchgear. Previous studies and maintenance revealed that the existing electrical protective devices were not functioning properly.

Under the IDIQ, this task included specification of complete electrical testing and preventive maintenance during construction phase for the three existing medium voltage switchgear. The project also included spot network protectors, two 480V switchgear line-ups, and transformers which are not part of the replacement scope. Upon completion of the preventive maintenance and electrical testing the design scope is to replace the existing medium voltage circuit breakers, relays and add power monitoring to the medium voltage services and 480V switchgear.
