Henry Adams provided the MEP engineering design for the new $9M, 61-unit affordable senior living and community building in Baltimore. In addition to apartments, the 69,000 SF building consists of amenities such as a fitness center, library, and community room to promote an active, healthy lifestyle. Other spaces are designed for job training, counseling for those living with HIV/AIDS, and integrated social services in partnership with local church-sponsored programs.

The mechanical scope included HVAC, associated controls, and fire suppression. The electrical scope encompassed power, lighting, and fire alarm. The plumbing scope included sanitary, vent, water, stormwater, and gas.

In 2015, construction progress was interrupted when the half-complete building caught fire during the Baltimore riots. The building suffered significant losses to its structure but was completed ahead of schedule. The senior center is regarded as an impetus for neighborhood development in East Baltimore.
