Henry Adams provided HVAC, plumbing and fire protection engineering design services for the design of a new 4-story addition totaling over 320,000 SF. Located on 5.7 acres, the addition includes a 3-level underground parking garage with 200 spaces. The new addition facilities include both male and female housing units. The housing units include twelve 56-bed dormitory-style general population units; two 56-bed double-cell general population units; one 28-bed double-cell maximum custody classification unit; and one 28-bed cell Segregation/Disciplinary unit.  A portion of the new addition includes a 30,000 SF 2-story administration building. A new Main Control Center for the detention center, general offices, and a fitness center are located in this portion of the addition.
