Bowie State University Student Center Obtains LEED Gold Certification

Bowie State University's new Student Center has received national recognition for having an environmentally sustainable design and earned the distinction of LEED Gold certification by the US Green Building Council.

Henry Adams provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering design services for the new 95,695 GSF  student center. Spaces in the building include a theater/lecture hall, multi-purpose rooms, game rooms, campus dining facility for both commuters and residents, offices, bookstore, ancillary services, student government association rooms, conference rooms, numerous lounge areas for student gathering, meeting rooms, greenhouse, and a coffee bar. The new student center was completed in Summer 2013.
