Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority (NOVA Parks) has officially broken ground on the new waterfront multi-purpose building and a large group rental shelter building at Occoquan Regional Park.
The new 15,350 SF waterfront multi-purpose building addition will replace the existing park office, concession, and restrooms. It will feature park offices, environmental education displays, café, a unique and attractive even rental space, commercial kitchen, and various associated amenities.
The new 3,000 SF group shelter will feature a 100-space parking lot; ADA accessible connecting walkways, including a path to the river; a small pier on the water; and lighting for the parking lot.
Henry Adams provided the MEP engineering design for both of the new facilities.
